The foundation is not just planting trees, but restoring entire ecosystems, rebuilding biodiversity, and securing a sustainable future for generations to come. Their approach is rooted in science, innovation, and collaboration with local communities and global partners, thereby reviving landscapes, creating green jobs, and inspiring a new era of environmental stewardship. With over 1 million trees planted and strong partnerships, BJF is scaling up. To drive this growth, BJF is seeking a Senior Fundraiser Europe—a purpose-driven connector ready to turn ambition into action, selling hope for future generations. 

The Role  

As Senior Fundraiser Europe, you will cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals, philanthropy and corporate sponsors, inspiring them with BJF’s mission as well as with your own story, to invest in one of the world’s most ambitious restoration projects. 

Besides strengthening the existing partnerships (e.g. UBS Optimus Foundation) and networks in Europe, you will be creating new connections as well. This role is both strategic and hands-on: building trust, crafting compelling narratives, and negotiating high-value partnerships. More than fundraising, you will be selling hope and a vision for a thriving planet.

Location  

Amsterdam, Netherlands, with frequent travel across Europe to engage with partners and occasional travel to Brazil to showcase BJF’s impact. 

Ideal Candidate  

Background and Experience  

• Business acumen and 10+ years of experience being exposed to high level decision makers coming from industries such as  strategy consulting, private wealth, philanthropy, executive search, tax law and other relevant areas). 
• Track record in developing opportunities and securing and closing high-value deals. 
• Extensive networking experience, opening doors at highest level and entertain contacts, building strong long term relations with high-net-worth individuals, institutional donors, or impact investors. 
• Strong understanding of philanthropy, impact investment or and ESG investment strategies. 
• International experience and intercultural sensitivity.  
• Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Dutch, German, or Portuguese is a strong advantage.
